Golfers in the West Valley just got some very good news.

Urban Golf Performance, the premium golf training facility known for treating every player like a tour professional, is opening its fifth Southern California location at 6537 Topanga Canyon Blvd in Woodland Hills — and they're targeting a September opening.

For residents of Woodland Hills, Calabasas, and Westlake Village, this is the closest Urban Golf Performance has ever been.

What Is Urban Golf Performance?

Urban Golf Performance isn't a simulator bar or a driving range. It's a serious performance facility — 7,000 square feet of dedicated training space where golfers of every skill level work with a team that includes golf coaches, physical therapists, club fitters, and mental coaches all under one roof.

Founded by Mac Todd and launched in West Los Angeles in 2013, the brand has built a reputation for combining five-star hospitality with legitimate tour-level coaching. Their client roster includes professional players like Min Woo Lee — and the Woodland Hills team will bring that same standard to the Valley.

"It has everything a golfer would want to have," said COO Leo Rooney. "UGP has become known as a place where you have a five-star experience from a service and hospitality standpoint, and also the best team in golf helping you with coaching, fitness, physical therapy, club fitting, club building and mental coaching."

Sessions at Urban Golf Performance are private and by appointment only — a deliberate choice that separates them from golf entertainment concepts like Topgolf and puts the focus entirely on improvement.

"We're a pure performance facility where we work with every player that comes in," Rooney said. "It's an experience where any golfer can come into our facility and be treated like a tour player."

Why Woodland Hills Makes Sense

The Valley expansion is a natural next step for a brand that has already planted roots in West Los Angeles, Santa Monica, Orange County, and El Segundo — as well as Austin, Texas.

"It was natural to expand into the Valley in Los Angeles and grow our footprint in the Los Angeles area," Rooney said.

The Topanga Canyon Blvd location puts Urban Golf Performance squarely in the heart of one of Southern California's most golf-active communities. Calabasas, Westlake Village, and the surrounding area are home to serious golfers who currently have to travel considerably further for this level of training. That changes this September.

What's Next for the Brand

Beyond Woodland Hills, Urban Golf Performance has its sights set on San Diego, Dallas, and Scottsdale as the next markets in its national expansion. The Valley location joins a growing footprint that reflects consistent demand for high-end golf performance training across the country.
