A lot has changed since the 20's!

September brought one big new opening, one long-time closing and a coffee shop on the way to Calabasas. Here is what we know.

Now open: Jon & Vinny's

Jon & Vinny's has opened at 23538 Calabasas Rd. It is the chain's ninth location. The Infatuation describes a bungalow-style space with a full bar, a heated back patio and a Helen's wine shop attached. (The Infatuation)

Closed: Marmalade Cafe at The Commons

Marmalade Cafe at The Commons at Calabasas closed on August 31 after 28 years, according to Eater LA. The chain's Westlake Village and Malibu cafes remain open. Marmalade's operations director told the LA Times that the construction project at The Commons cut monthly sales by $50,000 and was a major factor in the chain's Chapter 11 filing on September 2. Coming soon: Alfred Coffee

Alfred is moving into 23635 Calabasas Rd., the former Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. The company told What Now Los Angeles it plans to open on November 5, but that date could change depending on permits and inspections. The first 100 customers are set to get a free drink and Alfred merchandise. (What Now Los Angeles)
