Closed: Kristy's Wood Oven & Wine Bar

Kristy's, at Trancas Country Market (30745 Pacific Coast Highway), was scheduled to close for good on September 9 after 15 years. Owner Kristy Apana told CBS Los Angeles she plans to move into catering and is open to a new restaurant later. Customers held a going-away party the week before. Still open: Marmalade Cafe Malibu

Marmalade Cafe filed for Chapter 11 on September 2 after closing its Calabasas and Santa Monica cafes. The company says the Malibu, Westlake Village, Sherman Oaks and El Segundo locations are healthy. (Patch)
